Fresco Pizza Ahmedabad
You all know that we love bhukkad gali near CEPT. So here we show you our love and bring to you “Fresco Pizza.”
Fresco Pizza is a wagon by Manish Kamdar and his wife Tejal. CityShor visited them last weekend and fell in love with their food.
We tried their… Ravioli, Pasta Arrabiata, Pasta in Pesto and Fresco special pizza. And we really don’t need to say that it was wonderful.
Manish’s wife loves to cook, so they came up with an idea to open a wagon. They bake their own pizza base daily. It’s totally hand tossed, very thin and crispy. You’ll be happy to know that it has fewer calories than readymade bakery pizza base.
Not just the base but also they make their pizza sauce with the best tomatoes & Italian herbs. Their barbeque masala paneer, fresco pizza (Five topping pizza) and golden veggies (corn lovers) are something you can’t miss!!! BTW, they specialize in Ravioli.
The awesomeness in the taste is because they use cow cheese. So try their food once and you would love to visit them again and again.
Not to worry about the price as the dishes start from Rs. 60 and go upto only Rs. 110
Time: 7 to 11:00
Address: Fresco Pizza Bhukkad Gali, in the lane next to CEPT,

Tarak Heritage Bungalow
Monsoon time and travelling! This always goes equal. What do you see
when you are travelling in this beautiful weather? Lovely rain drops,
wet roads and smell of the soil, hot tea/food, music and last but not the least a best place to stay and enjoy the weather.
Well, we have travelled long and found a perfect destination for you.
This place is called Mount Abu. Yes yes, we know that it’s the most
known and common place for all Ahmedabadis. But, we are talking about
experiencing a different stay at Abu. How? Well, the answer is “Tarak
Heritage Bungalow.”
Tarak Heritage is Mr. Umang Hutheesing’s bungalow. So it’s not a
“HOTEL” but bungalow where you can have an imperial stay. He has
tastefully done up the interiors of this charming bungalow with
intricately carved traditional wooden doors, beautiful antique
furniture, artwork worthy of museums adorning all the walls, plush
tapestry, beautiful rugs and luxurious spaces worthy of royalty.
Yes, we visited there last weekend and it is just so “ROYAL.” The
bungalow has 3 double bed rooms and one room with 6 beds. And as we
said, it’s not a hotel so whenever you go with your friends and family,
only you stay in that bungalow and no one else. Maybe that could be
worded as “whenever you go with your family and friends, the bungalow
belongs exclusively to you, you do not share the property with other
guests” It doesn’t have security guards but two security dogs. Shocked!!
Don’t worry they won’t kill you.
Once you enter, you will see a beautiful huge room to sit, relax and
chit chat. Two steps below on the right hand side, you will see two
double bedrooms with an awesome view on the first floor there are two
bedrooms. One with double beds and the other with 6 beds.
On the ground floor, there is an open area with small table and
chairs and with two gardens to have coffee, tea etc. “Oh my gosh” was
the reaction when we saw the view of this area in early morning. A
beautiful green valley and birds chirping everywhere. Heaven, right? If
you are lucky then you will also get a chance to feel awesome rain drops
and the foggy atmosphere.
So now, go for a looooong drive to Abu and stay at this beautiful
“Tarak Bunglow”. The rates are 18000/- per night. Get 10% DISCOUNT if
you tell them you are through Cityshor.
Details: Accommodation is maximum for 12 guests and the booking will
be for entire bungalow. Single room would not be provided. The food is
not included.

Look Hotter than the Weather
Stay Gorgeous
The weirdest things I’ve heard in a long time-“its summers and too hot for me to step out wearing makeup!”
With the mercury soaring to forties in aapnu amdavad, I see a lot of women preferring the no makeup look. While I am all for natural beauty, I see no reason why you should not look sexy and fun every day of the year!
Here are a few tips on how you can apply a combination of matte and velvety make up all through the summer season no matter what the temperature is and what brands to buy, all in under Rs.1200! After all why should you let the weather win in the hotness department
Step I-
Prepping is the most essential step to applying makeup. Now usually you would apply a primer, moisturizer, sunscreen and a foundation to prep your skin. What if you could do all this using one product!
Our Pick: Try the Lotus Safe Sun 3-in-1 Matte Look Daily Sunblock. It’s a sunscreen, BB cream and primer (for mattifying effect) all rolled into one! It’s non- greasy, light and easy on the pocket at Rs.225/-.
Tip: For better results, do this after cleaning and scrubbing your face.
While most people can stop at this step, you could add another layer of matte by applying a very thin coat of compact.
Our Pick: Maybelline Clear Glow all in one Compact Powder is available in 5 different colours and costs Rs.175/- only.
Tip: Make sure the compact shade is as close to your skin colour as possible. Rather than a swatch test on your hand, try using the product on your face to make sure it blends in.
Step II-
During the day I like to keep it simple and so I believe in applying either eyeliner or kajal and not both. A liquid liner in this case may end up getting smudged so your best bet is a pencil.
Our Pick: Try the Colossal Kajal by Maybelline for both the eyeliner and the kajal. (Available for Rs.175/-). If you want to spice it up, use coloured eye pencils in blue, green or silver! (Try Colorbar I-define at Rs.325/- only)
Tip: Start with a thinner line on the eyelid. You can always thicken it later if you want.
Since we are keeping it simple and light I suggest skipping the mascara.
Step III-
Now comes the most fun part! Apply a funky hot pink or stylish coral shade of lipstick in matte finish and you are all set (well almost)! The best way to apply lipstick is with the help of a brush. Apply a second coat, if necessary. Spread it using your fingertip to blend in the lipstick. Use Q-tip on the corners to remove excess product. Make sure your teeth are not stained.
Our Pick: Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick available for Rs. 275/- only. Shades Obsessed Orange (60) and Pretty Please (79)
Tip:
Glossy to Matte: If you already have a glossy lipstick and are not in a mood to spend on a new matte one, just dab a tissue paper on the lips and use your fingertip to blend it.
Matte to Glossy: If your lips feel too dry, apply a coat of lip balm or petroleum jelly to give a slight gloss.
If you want a little colour on your cheeks, stain the cheekbones with a fingertip of lipstick and blend it upwards in a circular motion for a rosy hue.
Step IV-
Colour your nails in a shade different from your lipstick for a quirky yet sartorial look.
Our Pick: Try the Colorbar Exclusive Collection Nail Polish in shades Pink Lady (94) or Bloody Mary (98) available for Rs. 175/- only.
Tip: For the second coat use a transparent varnish rather than the same shade for a glossy and lasting effect.
Step V-
All this and a side braid or a high pony tail and you are all set for your coffee date or lunch meeting.
So ladies go all out and look your best…don’t let the weather beat the stylish you!
Tip: To take off the make up at night, use Johnson’s Baby Cream.
PS. Remember, all this is going to last you atleast 6 months, so it’s actually an investment into looking and feeling like a divaJ.
Get all the above online at Flipkart.com or Nykaa.com. All these products are also available at Smruti Selections on CG Road in aapnu amdavad. Spend more than Rs. 1000/- there and get a 5% discount exclusively for Cityshor readers.
